From Dreamer to Builder: Why W.E. Build Cohort 3 Matters for Tulsa

Three years ago, I took a leap that terrified me.
I quit my job with nothing but a vision in my heart and a belief—however shaky—that there was something more for me. I didn’t know exactly how I’d make it work, but I knew I had to try.

Build in Tulsa was the first to say, We believe in you. Through their entrepreneurship program, I found myself surrounded by other dreamers and doers. People who understood the risks, the late nights, the doubts, and the drive that fueled them. That community didn’t just give me resources; it gave me permission to see myself as an entrepreneur.

Fast forward to today, and life has brought me full circle. Now, I have the honor of serving as the Program Facilitator for the W.E. Build Program, guiding and supporting women founders as they take their own leaps of faith. I’m no longer just building my business; I’m now helping others build theirs, and in doing so, we’re all building Tulsa.

What Makes W.E. Build So Special

W.E. Build is more than a program; it’s a catalyst.

For 15 weeks, women founders are given the tools, connections, and confidence to accelerate their businesses. But the magic goes beyond curriculum. It’s in the sisterhood that forms, the “I’ve been there” nods of understanding, and the collective belief that each founder has something the world needs.

This program is an investment not just in individual businesses, but in Tulsa’s future. When we support women entrepreneurs, we’re planting seeds of innovation, leadership, and community wealth that will bear fruit for generations to come.

Why This Cohort Matters

Cohort 3 is electric. From the moment they walked into the launch party, you could feel it: the energy, the ownership, the unapologetic presence. They’re not here to play small. They’re here to scale, to lead, and to leave their mark on this city and beyond.

And what can we expect as the program unfolds? Bold ideas turned into viable strategies. Businesses that expand their reach. Women who step into their power as CEOs, not just founders. And a ripple effect of inspiration for every woman in Tulsa who dares to imagine more.

Full-Circle Moment

When I stand before these women, I see a reflection of who I was three years ago—and a glimpse of who they’ll become. Back then, I wasn’t sure I was “worthy” of the title entrepreneur. Now, I know that worth isn’t something you wait to earn; it’s something you claim.

To facilitate this program is to witness transformation in real time. And just like Tulsa once made space for me to grow, I get to help create space for them to connect with this city’s resources, networks, and opportunities, so their visions can take root and thrive here.

W.E. Build isn’t just about these 15 weeks; it’s about the legacy these women will create in Tulsa and the lives they’ll touch far beyond it.

And to Cohort 3, I say: The city is watching, the community is ready, and the future is yours to build.
